Musk throttled Starlink for Ukraine's military, report says
Elon Musk ordered a slowdown of Starlink service used by Ukraine's military, impacting battlefield communications and drone operations against Russia, according to a Wall Street Journal report on Tuesday. The throttling of the military-grade service hampered Ukraine's attack and air defence drone missions. Musk and President Donald Trump discussed the decision in a call after it became public, and Reuters reported the order originated from the White House. Trump said he did not think he or Musk was responsible for Ukraine losing access, while Musk attributed any limits to US military or presidential decisions. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy discussed restoring Starlink service with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
