Russia strikes Kyiv again after Witkoff meeting
Russia launched a new missile attack on Kyiv overnight, with 21 rockets targeting the Ukrainian capital in three waves, killing at least two people and damaging infrastructure and buildings, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Twelve regions across Ukraine were hit, leaving 34 people injured including five children. Zelenskyy said the attack shows Russia's stance is unchanged, calling for stronger air defenses and faster missile deliveries. Russia also reported striking port facilities in Odesa and military production sites. The attacks came despite Kremlin confirmation that President Vladimir Putin agreed to resume trilateral talks with Ukraine and the US after November 10, following a three-hour meeting with envoy Steve Witkoff. Zelenskyy welcomed the proposal, suggesting a frontline freeze as a first step toward a ceasefire.
