US intelligence sharing with Ukraine resumes, Zelensky says
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said intelligence sharing with the United States is currently working, allowing Ukraine to warn its population about incoming ballistic missile threats. He made the statement during a joint press conference in Oslo on Tuesday, October 20. Zelensky expressed gratitude that intelligence cooperation has resumed, emphasizing the importance of early warnings for civilians, including children. The announcement followed his meeting in Oslo with US Special Representative Steve Witkoff, which also included Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and Finnish President Alexander Stubb. The statement comes after a period of disruption, as Zelensky had previously reported a three-day gap in US-provided ballistic missile warnings. On October 19, journalist Alex Raufoglu reported the US again failed to warn Ukraine about a Russian missile strike, which US Secretary of State Marco Rubio could not confirm.
