Musk restricted Starlink for Ukraine, disabling its drones, WSJ reports
The Wall Street Journal reports Elon Musk ordered speed limits on Starlink satellite connections used by Ukraine, rendering some Ukrainian offensive drones and interceptors practically inoperable. The decision, revealed Tuesday, follows complaints last week from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Musk and President Donald Trump discussed the Starlink restriction in a call after it became public, though they had previously addressed the matter, according to sources cited by the Journal. SpaceX representatives contacted the White House to coordinate a common message claiming prior coordination, though some officials say Musk acted unilaterally. The White House conducted an internal investigation, while Trump denied restricting the service and urged Zelensky to pursue peace with Russia.
