Zelensky open to talks on ceasefire formats after Witkoff meeting
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Tuesday in Oslo that Ukraine is ready for negotiations on proposals for different ceasefire formats, following talks with US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff. Zelensky stated the discussions covered security guarantees and sensitive issues, emphasizing that territorial matters must be addressed at the highest level. He reiterated readiness for a trilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Trump, while stressing no decisions about Ukraine can be made without Ukraine's participation. The Oslo talks also addressed Ukraine's post-war reconstruction. This follows Trump's October 11 claim of an energy ceasefire taking effect, with Zelensky confirming Ukraine's willingness to halt attacks on energy infrastructure if Russia does the same.
