Zelensky and Trump envoys hold productive talks in Oslo
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held "productive and very constructive" talks with US President Donald Trump's envoys in Oslo on Tuesday, according to a US official. The official said envoy Steve Witkoff will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Wednesday, with virtual participation from Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner. Ukraine presented new ideas and proposals that were discussed in detail, with tangible progress toward a coordinated approach to Russia. The talks aim to address a rift between Washington and Kyiv following Trump's diesel fuel deal with Russia and pressure on Zelensky to end the war. The Witkoff-Putin meeting seeks to build on Oslo's progress and pave the way for direct trilateral talks involving Kyiv, Moscow, and Washington.
