korrespondent.net (Russian) —

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he will not wait in Oslo for the return of US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff from Russia, according to PAP on Wednesday, October 21. Zelensky stated he must move forward and return to Ukraine, while Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre is expected to meet with Witkoff. Witkoff traveled to Russia to present Putin with peace proposals discussed on Tuesday, covering security guarantees for Ukraine after the war and Kyiv's future relations with NATO. On Wednesday, the US envoy was scheduled to present agreed proposals to the Russian side, and Støre earlier said Witkoff would stop in Oslo afterward to relay results of the St. Petersburg talks. On October 20, talks took place in Oslo involving Witkoff, Zelensky, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, and Støre, with Jared Kushner joining remotely. Zelensky also proposed a trilateral meeting of Ukrainian, US, and Russian leaders to discuss the most difficult issues of a future peace agreement.
