A meeting between Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff has concluded in St. Petersburg, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. The talks lasted over three hours at the Konstantinovsky Palace and included Putin's special representative Kirill Dmitriev. Trump's representative Jared Kushner could not attend due to illness but planned to join by phone. Witkoff arrived after meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Oslo on October 20. The New York Times reported that Trump has been increasingly pressuring Zelensky to agree to a peace deal with Russia ahead of these negotiations.
