NATO warns Ukraine may lose US Patriot missiles as Trump-Zelensky ties sour

korrespondent.net (Russian) —

NATO officials have warned Ukrainian authorities that U.S. President Donald Trump may completely halt American weapons supplies, including Patriot missile systems, due to deteriorating relations with President Volodymyr Zelensky, Bloomberg reported Tuesday. High-ranking NATO representatives are concerned the relationship between Zelensky and Trump may be beyond repair, potentially forcing Ukraine to accept painful terms to end the war with Russia. NATO has urged Ukraine to reduce tensions, warning that unpredictable Trump decisions could threaten U.S. arms deliveries financed mainly by European countries under the PURL program. Trump is pressuring European leaders to bear most aid costs while limiting offensive weapons and undermining air defense capabilities. Ukraine currently receives only 12 Patriot interceptor missiles monthly, about a quarter of what it got under President Joe Biden. Zelensky says Kyiv has already paid for delayed deliveries.
