Musk slows Starlink service for Ukraine's military, WSJ reports
Elon Musk last week ordered the slowdown of a military-grade Starlink satellite service used by Ukraine's military, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday, citing US officials and sources. The move hampered Ukrainian attack and air defense drone missions against Russia. Musk, SpaceX, and the White House did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment, and Reuters could not verify the report. Musk and President Donald Trump discussed the decision in a call after the slowdown became public, according to the report. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, in Oslo to repair US relations, said he discussed restoring Starlink service with Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Washington did not pull back access, signaling terms-of-service issues.
