nv.ua (Ukrainian) —

Ukrainian diplomat Serhiy Korsunsky said Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will not agree to a trilateral meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, citing Putin's view of U.S. weakness. Korsunsky stated Putin sees Trump as unstable and the U.S. as weakened, and believes his missile arsenal allows him to look to the future confidently. He added Putin seeks Ukraine's capitulation before any trilateral summit. The Atlantic reported Trump wants Putin and Zelensky to sign a peace deal at his resort during the G20 summit in December 2026. On October 21, U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff met Putin in St. Petersburg after talks with Zelensky in Oslo.
