Zelensky welcomes US intelligence sharing, seeks role in Ukraine talks
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed the restoration of US intelligence sharing and demanded a seat at any negotiations regarding his country's future, following talks with American envoys aimed at easing recent tensions between Kyiv and Washington. Zelensky met with US envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Oslo, as well as Norwegian and Finnish leaders, after a week of strained relations. The tensions followed President Donald Trump's deal with Vladimir Putin on Russian diesel purchases and his criticism of Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries. Zelensky had accused Washington of deliberately delaying Patriot interceptor missile deliveries. Zelensky confirmed US intelligence sharing is now functioning, allowing advance warning of Russian ballistic missile strikes, and expressed confidence that discussions on Starlink and Patriot supplies would conclude positively. US officials deny deliberately harming Ukraine, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio stating nothing is intentionally withheld. Witkoff will present proposals to Russian authorities in Saint Petersburg on Wednesday, potentially paving the way for a leaders' meeting.
