interfax.ru (Russian) —

US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff may travel to Moscow after talks in Oslo with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Financial Times reported Tuesday, citing a source. The American official said Witkoff would present ideas developed in Oslo to Putin. The Oslo talks, hosted by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, will include Finnish President Alexander Stubb and representatives from France, Germany, Britain, Poland, the EU, and NATO. Envoy Jared Kushner will participate online due to illness. The New York Times previously reported that Trump's representatives might travel to St. Petersburg after Oslo. Discussions cover Ukraine's long-term prospects, including security guarantees and European integration, as well as Russia-related issues aimed at establishing a new European security architecture and economic cooperation.
