Russian drone attack kills two near Kharkiv, Kyiv hit
Two people were killed in a Russian drone attack near Ukraine's second-largest city, Kharkiv, early Wednesday, with explosions also reported in Kyiv. The attack struck private homes, and eleven others suffered stress reactions. Kharkiv Governor Oleh Synjehubov reported the attack on Telegram, while broadcaster Suspilne noted at least four explosions in a Kharkiv suburb. Ukraine's air force said glide bombs were dropped over the region, and Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported a fire after a drone hit a transport infrastructure facility, with no injuries reported. The attacks came hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed a trilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump and Russia's Vladimir Putin. The proposal followed his Tuesday meeting with the US special envoy in Oslo, hosted by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
