Musk slows Starlink service used by Ukraine's military
Elon Musk last week ordered the slowdown of a military-grade Starlink satellite service used by Ukraine's military, according to a Wall Street Journal report, hampering Ukrainian attack and air defence drone missions against Russia. The report, citing US officials and sources, said Musk and President Donald Trump discussed the decision in a call after it became public, having also talked about it beforehand. Reuters could not immediately verify the report, and Musk, SpaceX, and the White House did not respond to requests for comment. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskky, in Oslo to repair ties, discussed restoring Starlink service with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said Washington had not pulled back access, but signaled Kyiv needed to comply with service terms.
