Ukraine's Zelensky: Starlink limits remain, missile deliveries delayed
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that restrictions on Starlink and Starshield satellite communications remain in effect and deliveries of anti-ballistic missile interceptors are still delayed. He made the remarks during an online address to the Hudson Institute in the US. Zelensky said Ukraine is waiting for agreed-upon missiles that have not arrived, calling it a real problem as Russia attacks almost daily. He noted the issues occur while Ukraine continues "quite successful operations" at the front, though the speed limits have made defense harder. Since October 14, Starlink speed on Ukrainian drones has been capped at 161 kilometers per hour, reducing effectiveness of strike and interceptor drones. The problems come amid US-Ukraine tensions before midterm elections, though Secretary of State Marco Rubio denied intentional withholding, and President Trump reportedly asked SpaceX's Elon Musk to lift restrictions.
