Trump asked Musk to lift Starlink speed limits in Ukraine

pravda.com.ua (Russian) —

President Donald Trump reportedly called Elon Musk and asked him to lift restrictions on the military version of Starlink in Ukraine, according to The Wall Street Journal citing American and Ukrainian officials. The call allegedly took place on Wednesday, October 21, and by the next day the system was operating in a more normal mode, though not at full functionality. Trump reportedly told Musk he was annoyed that speeds remained limited to around 160 kilometers per hour. Trump also told aides and allies this week he wanted the speed restriction removed. Republican Senator Tom Tillis is launching an investigation into Pentagon activities regarding the Starlink connectivity problems faced by Ukrainian forces.
