Kyiv restricts South Bridge traffic after Russian attack

nv.ua (Ukrainian) —

Kyiv has restricted traffic on the Pivdennyi (South) Bridge from the right to the left bank following a Russian attack on the capital, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration on Thursday morning. The attack damaged part of the metro infrastructure on the bridge, said Mayor Vitali Klitschko. Russia struck Kyiv several times with ballistic missiles overnight, hitting four districts, injuring at least six people, and causing fires and damage to buildings. Earlier this month, on October 1, Russian drones struck the same bridge at least three times, damaging its support, road surface, and barriers, leading to temporary closures of traffic and metro service.
