Abu Dhabi to host trilateral Russia-US-Ukraine talks in November
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on October 23 that the November talks in Abu Dhabi will be held in a trilateral format involving Russia, the United States, and Ukraine, with security issues on the agenda. The announcement follows an October 21 visit by U.S. negotiator Steve Witkoff to St. Petersburg, where he delivered documents to President Vladimir Putin prepared after consultations in Oslo, including a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European politicians. Putin stated Russia is ready to resume trilateral negotiations in early November, emphasizing the talks will address security guarantees for both Ukraine and Russia after reaching final peace agreements, not just a temporary ceasefire.
