Musk accuses Ukraine's elite of corruption and US campaign funding

Elon Musk accused Ukraine's elite of enriching themselves through US aid and alleged some funds were funneled into American political campaigns. He made the claims on X on Friday, October 23. Musk wrote that Ukraine's elite profited from hundreds of billions in aid while ordinary Ukrainians' children are conscripted to die in trenches. He alleged US taxpayer money returns via money laundering schemes to fund political campaigns, claiming this explains why some politicians care more about Ukraine than America. The New York Times previously reported Musk donated at least $276 million to his own political committee and Republican Party organizations for election campaigning in under six months. Musk also recently stated that in 2027, every child in the US will receive one SpaceX share as a gift.
