Trump says military Starlink is back in Ukraine after Musk restores service
US President Donald Trump says the military version of the Starlink satellite network is "back" in Ukraine, following a Wall Street Journal report that he asked Elon Musk to restore the service. Trump declined to confirm who made the call, stating Musk "has restored it." Earlier this week, sources reported Musk had limited the military Starlink variant, hampering Ukraine's defense capabilities. The restriction caused Ukrainian drones, both offensive and defensive, to lose connectivity at certain speeds, rendering them largely ineffective. Musk has previously stated that all speed or usage limits are determined by the US military and ultimately the president. The Pentagon has denied ordering any changes, and Trump has also said he did not authorize them.
