Drone strike hits Russian tax data center in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast
On the night of October 23, drones attacked Russia, striking a key data center of the Federal Tax Service in Gorodets, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, potentially impacting state information systems. The Russian Defense Ministry reported shooting down 443 drones overnight. Videos show strikes in Gorodets, with the data center being one of two key Federal Tax Service facilities storing state registries and tax databases. The governor confirmed damage to residential buildings, an educational facility, and infrastructure. The center, opened in 2015, is part of a three-center system designed for redundancy.
