Starlink military version restored in Ukraine, Trump says
The military version of the Starlink satellite network is "back" in Ukraine, according to US President Donald Trump, who stated that Elon Musk has "restored it." Earlier this week, sources reported that Musk had decided to restrict the military variant of Starlink, which hampered Ukraine's defense capabilities. The restriction caused Ukrainian drones, both offensive and defensive, to lose connectivity when traveling above a certain speed, rendering them virtually useless. Musk has previously stated that any speed or usage restrictions are determined by the US military and, by extension, the president. The US Defense Secretary said the Pentagon did not order changes to the network, and Trump said he did not either.
