pravda.com.ua (Ukrainian) —

Ukraine and Russia will introduce a ceasefire in the Oleshky area starting October 27 to conduct a humanitarian operation in the temporarily occupied town in the Kherson region. The Ukrainian General Staff announced a ceasefire from 3:00 AM Kyiv time, while Russian Chief of Staff Valery Gerasimov confirmed a "silence regime" from 4:00 AM Moscow time. Both sides cited efforts to ensure safety and deliver essential supplies to residents. The truce follows a White House statement that First Lady Melania Trump brokered the agreement amid a humanitarian catastrophe in Oleshky. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed Russia's consent, and Ukrainian ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets said the operation will occur on October 29.
