Trilateral Russia-US-Ukraine talks set for Abu Dhabi in November

dw.com (Russian) —

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that trilateral talks between Russia, the US, and Ukraine are expected to take place in Abu Dhabi in the first half of November, focusing on security guarantees for both Russia and Ukraine following the end of the war. Peskov stated that European representatives will not join the November talks, which will remain in a trilateral format, though he noted that discussing continental security architecture without other participants would ultimately be impossible. The talks were announced after a meeting between Vladimir Putin and US envoy Steve Witkoff in St. Petersburg on October 21. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky supported the resumption of trilateral negotiations, saying the agenda is to end the war and prepare for a potential meeting at the leaders' level, while expressing support for ceasefire proposals and an energy truce.
