Russian Officials Report Drone and Missile Attack on Military Factory Near Moscow
Russian officials reported a drone and missile attack on a military factory in the Moscow region overnight, with Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin claiming 630 drones were intercepted en route to the capital. Local residents reported explosions at the "75 Arsenal" enterprise in Serpukhov. The "75 Arsenal" facility, a military unit subordinate to Russia's Main Rocket and Artillery Directorate, produces weapons and ammunition and repairs artillery systems. Sobyanin reported two injured people in the Voronovo area from falling debris. Lipetsk and Tula regional governors also reported drone attacks, with damage to buildings and one injured person. Ukraine has consistently responded to Russian strikes on civilian targets, with President Volodymyr Zelensky offering an "energy truce" if Russia halts attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. Recent Ukrainian drone strikes have also targeted St. Petersburg logistics centers and a Gazprom facility near Surgut, over 2,000 kilometers from Ukraine.
