Zelenskyy Accuses US of Restricting Drone Satellite System
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj accuses the US of restricting the Starshield satellite system that controls Ukrainian drones, causing them to lose connection and fall from the sky during attacks. The White House denies the claim, saying everything is normal. The restrictions have made it harder for Ukrainian forces to intercept Russian drones attacking cities, as their own drones are limited to speeds of 70-160 km/h compared to Russian drones flying at 450-500 km/h. A Ukrainian commander lost over one million dollars in equipment when drones crashed last week. It remains unclear who is responsible for the slowdown, with Elon Musk pointing to the Pentagon and Secretary of State Marco Rubio saying SpaceX decides. Ukrainian officials fear the Trump administration is deliberately disrupting the system to pressure Kyiv into concessions.
