Ukraine regains full Starlink access after Trump says Musk lifted restrictions

deutschlandfunk.de (German) —

Ukraine has regained full access to the satellite service Starlink, according to US President Trump, who said SpaceX chief Musk lifted the throttling. Trump did not confirm whether he spoke with Musk about it. The Wall Street Journal, citing Ukrainian military officials, reports Starlink speeds in Ukraine have recently increased, though Kyiv has not officially confirmed this. US senators are demanding answers about the temporary restrictions, with Democrat Blumenthal launching an investigation, saying the limits exposed Ukraine to Russian missile attacks. President Zelenskyy had reported Starlink problems in recent days and suspected political motives. The service is vital for Ukrainian military communications and interceptor drones. Separately, Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia killed at least three people, and a drone strike in Zhytomyr injured nine.
