Lubinets outlines three-stage humanitarian operation in occupied Oleshky
Ukraine's human rights ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets confirmed an agreement on a humanitarian mission in occupied Oleshky, Kherson region, involving a ceasefire, aid delivery, and civilian evacuation. The operation will be complex and conducted in three stages, Lubinets said on Friday. He thanked US First Lady Melania Trump for coordinating negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, while urging caution in sharing public information about the mission's progress. The White House announced the local truce, set to begin October 29, was brokered by Trump. Kremlin officials said ceasefire coordination and evacuation could take several days. Oleshky has faced a humanitarian blockade since September, with residents at risk of starvation.
