Ukraine's Starlink access restored, Trump says
Donald Trump said Thursday that Elon Musk has restored Ukraine's access to the Starlink satellite network, but declined to confirm whether he personally spoke with the billionaire about the matter. The statement follows a Wall Street Journal report that Trump contacted Musk to request lifting restrictions on Ukraine's Starlink use. Ukrainian officials cited by the WSJ said the system has not yet returned to full capacity, though speeds have improved. Starlink is vital for Ukraine's military communications and drone operations. Kyiv had accused SpaceX of throttling network speeds, affecting attack drones and air defense systems. The White House denied direct involvement, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio saying decisions belong to SpaceX.
