Ukraine's military to back Zelensky's humanitarian mission in occupied Oleshky
Ukraine's Armed Forces will ensure implementation of President Volodymyr Zelensky's decisions to carry out a humanitarian mission in Russian-occupied Oleshky, the General Staff reported on October 23. The General Staff said orders will be issued to units accordingly, noting Ukrainian forces have repeatedly used drones to deliver humanitarian cargo to Oleshky residents and surrounding villages. They expect guaranteed humanitarian access for the people there. Oleshky faces a humanitarian crisis amid Russian occupation, with reports of food shortages and blocked evacuations. A local ceasefire brokered by First Lady Melania Trump is set to begin October 29 to allow aid delivery and civilian evacuation.
