Zelensky tells CNN there's no personal feud with Trump
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told CNN there is no personal conflict between him and former President Donald Trump, despite recent tensions, while warning that lifting sanctions on Russia would strengthen Vladimir Putin and hinder peace efforts. Zelensky said Putin does not want to end the war and is playing with people's lives. He left open the possibility of freezing current front lines for a ceasefire without ceding Ukrainian-controlled territory, but stressed Ukraine will never recognize occupied regions as Russian. The interview came amid renewed US diplomatic efforts, including envoy Steve Witkoff's meeting with Putin in St. Petersburg. Zelensky emphasized Ukraine needs allies to maintain sanctions and provide better air defense missiles, noting current supplies are insufficient.
