Trump says Musk lifted Starlink speed limits for Ukraine's military

ua.korrespondent.net (Ukrainian) —

US President Donald Trump announced that SpaceX owner Elon Musk has lifted speed restrictions on the military version of Starlink in Ukraine. Trump declined to specify who contacted Musk about the matter. The restrictions had been in place since October 14, limiting terminals on Ukrainian drones to 160 km/h, which hampered intercepting Russian Shahed drones. The Wall Street Journal reported Trump called Musk to request the removal. Media previously reported that Musk himself proposed limiting the Starshield satellite system, which Ukraine uses for battlefield communications and drone control. The system now operates at higher speeds following the change.
