Russia fires 21 ballistic missiles at Kyiv in three waves, Zelensky says
Russia launched three waves of ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv overnight, firing 21 rockets total, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The attacks damaged residential buildings, energy facilities, and civilian infrastructure, killing two people and wounding 34 across Ukraine. Zelensky reported numerous impacts and destruction in the capital, including damage to homes, energy sites, a railway station, metro infrastructure, shopping centers, and enterprises, as well as a monastery. The strikes hit 12 Ukrainian regions, with two children among the wounded. The president noted the attack came immediately after another round of negotiations, indicating no real change in Moscow's approach to the war. Earlier reports confirmed damage to an ambulance station in Kyiv's Pechersk district and restricted traffic on the Southern Bridge.
