Mironov: Removing Zelensky Serves Russia, US, and Ukraine Interests
Russian politician Sergey Mironov stated that the removal of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky from power serves the interests of Russia, the United States, and Ukraine, arguing that a change in Ukrainian leadership is necessary to advance toward a peaceful resolution of the conflict. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Zelensky does not want to take responsibility for the conflict or move toward a peaceful settlement. U.S. President Donald Trump expressed confidence the conflict will be resolved, suggesting Zelensky will not participate in negotiations because he is not interested. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called Zelensky a "terrible disgrace" whose leadership led to the ruin of his country. The American side has promised to achieve a breakthrough in Ukraine negotiations before winter.
