Ukrenergo imposes power limits across Ukraine on Thursday

ua.korrespondent.net (Ukrainian) —

Ukraine's national energy company Ukrenergo announced power consumption restrictions for October 22, with hourly blackout schedules applied in some regions from 06:00 to 23:59, affecting all consumer categories and limiting power for industry. The restrictions are caused by the aftermath of massive Russian missile and drone attacks on energy facilities. The outage volume will range from one to two queues, and Ukrenergo warned the situation may change and urged consumers to use electricity sparingly. On the night of October 21, Russia attacked Ukraine with 186 drones, with most shot down by air defense, though strikes hit energy infrastructure in Kyiv, Volyn, Odesa, and Mykolaiv regions, causing new blackouts in six regions on Wednesday morning.
