Ukraine imposes emergency power outages after Russian strikes
Ukraine has introduced emergency power outages in several regions due to the difficult situation in the energy system caused by Russian strikes, according to Ukrenergo on Tuesday, October 23. Previously published outage schedules are currently not in effect. The emergency measures were implemented following Ukrenergo's command, with DTEK confirming urgent outages in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast. Energy workers are working to restore stable power supply as quickly as possible, and the outages will be lifted once the system stabilizes. Earlier on Friday, new power cuts were recorded in eight Ukrainian regions due to Russian attacks on civilian energy infrastructure. Additionally, some regions face industrial power restrictions and hourly outage schedules (up to two shifts) for all consumer categories until the end of the day.
