Zelensky meets Trump today at UN General Assembly in New York

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump today in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, with the meeting scheduled for the evening Kyiv time. The meeting is set for 1:15 p.m. local time (8:15 p.m. Kyiv time) and will last one hour, according to Roll Call. Trump's schedule also includes a trilateral signing ceremony with the prime ministers of Denmark and Greenland, plus meetings with the British and Japanese prime ministers, a "Shield of America" event, a Gulf Cooperation Council session, a closed leaders' reception, and an informal meeting with Venezuela's acting president. Zelensky arrived in New York this morning with First Lady Olena Zelenska, expecting about 20 meetings. He said a new Drone Deal is ready for signing, with Ukraine's priority being peace and protecting people. French President Emmanuel Macron met Trump hours earlier, discussing an energy ceasefire that he planned to raise with Zelensky.
