Zelensky arrives in US for UN General Assembly and talks with Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in New York with his diplomatic team to attend the 81st UN General Assembly session and hold bilateral meetings, including with US President Donald Trump. Zelensky is scheduled to meet with American lawmakers and French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday evening, lay flowers at the 9/11 Memorial on Tuesday morning, and hold talks with Trump later that day. He will also participate in the Crimea Platform summit and address the UN Security Council and General Assembly on Wednesday. Around 20 meetings are planned in total, including with European leaders, US senators, and heads of international organizations. The Ukrainian delegation has prepared a new drone agreement for signing, and First Lady Olena Zelenska will speak at Columbia University and present summit results at the UN. The leaders agreed on the meeting during a phone call on September 20.
