Trump addresses UN as Iran war dominates agenda

President Donald Trump is traveling to New York City to address the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, with the ongoing eight-month war with Iran and its impact on global oil prices and Middle East stability as the central focus of his trip. During his visit, Trump will meet with Gulf leaders affected by the conflict, discuss threats to shipping in key waterways like the Strait of Hormuz, and hold sideline meetings with allies including UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The UN also released a report finding reasonable grounds that U.S. strikes in Iran constituted war crimes, which the State Department rejected.
