Trump urges UN nations to quit International Criminal Court

US President Donald Trump called on all nations to withdraw from the International Criminal Court, labeling it an "out-of-control" and "rogue institution" during a speech at the United Nations on Tuesday. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has pledged to dismantle the ICC "brick by brick," calling it an "intolerable threat to US sovereignty." Washington has imposed sanctions on ICC officials following the court's arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a close US ally. The United States is not an ICC member and never ratified the Rome Statute, alongside Israel, Russia, and China. Trump said Washington would never allow US service members to face investigations by the tribunal.
