Trump to discuss Ukraine's oil refinery strikes with Zelensky

U.S. President Donald Trump said he will discuss Ukraine's strikes on Russian oil refineries with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump made the statement during an open part of their meeting in New York, as reported by European Pravda. Trump acknowledged the Ukrainian attacks on Russian refining capacity and diesel fuel reserves have dealt a serious blow to Russia, but also affected global diesel prices. He noted diesel prices have risen significantly and that he would talk about this issue with the Ukrainian president. Earlier, Axios reported Trump had urged Zelensky by phone to stop strikes on Russian refineries. On September 13, Trump called on Ukraine to halt attacks on Russian diesel fuel, citing shortages, and later claimed Ukraine had agreed not to target Russian energy facilities.
