Trump threatens Iran, plans Greenland bases at UN speech
World leaders gathered in New York on Tuesday for the UN General Assembly's annual debate, where US President Donald Trump delivered a speech, threatening to destroy Iran and announcing plans to build military bases on Greenland. Trump said the US is "back and stronger than ever," criticized Iran's "evil regime," and warned he could either rebuild Iran's economy or "obliterate" it. He also claimed the Ukraine war would end soon and that the US would build two large military bases on Greenland. Following Trump's speech, the US, Denmark, and Greenland signed a security agreement for Greenland. Nearly 130 leaders are attending the week, with Trump scheduled to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
