Ukraine names Budanov to lead Abu Dhabi talks with Russia

Ukraine's presidential office chief, Kyrylo Budanov, will lead the Ukrainian delegation at face-to-face talks with Russia in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11, marking the first such meeting in months. Budanov told CBS News he does not expect a major breakthrough but views the agreement to meet in person as a sign of progress. He stressed the meeting will not be final, with sides set to discuss readiness to end the war. The talks, mediated by US envoy Steve Witkoff, will focus on post-war security agreements, de-escalation, and humanitarian issues. Russia confirmed participation, with Vladimir Medinsky again leading its delegation.
