Ukraine strikes wound 9 as Kyiv and Moscow prepare for U.S.-brokered talks
Drone and missile attacks across Ukraine on Saturday wounded at least nine people, as Kyiv and Moscow prepared for new U.S.-brokered talks next week in Abu Dhabi. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia fired 36 ballistic missiles overnight, with only four intercepted, and used North Korean-made missiles to strike energy facilities. The attacks damaged Kyiv's Northern Bridge and caused power and water outages across multiple regions. Russia's Defense Ministry confirmed targeting the bridge and industrial sites, while a separate recovery operation in Komyshuvakha continued, with the death toll from Monday's strike reaching 55. A Ukrainian drone attack in Russia's Belgorod region killed one person.
