Zelenskyy warns of Russian strikes on Ukraine's energy grid
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned his citizens on Friday that Russia is preparing new attacks on the country's energy supply. He reiterated his call for allies to provide more Patriot air defense missiles, citing fresh intelligence indicating preparations for strikes on the energy sector, bridges over the Dnipro River, and civilian infrastructure. Zelenskyy stated that while the air force and army are prepared to defend the country, the situation is difficult. Ukraine faces another challenging winter amid waves of Russian attacks on civilian targets, with no peace agreement in sight. Zelenskyy visited a Latin American summit in Madrid on Thursday to request equipment for repairing infrastructure like bridges and transformers.
