Trump promises 'big and extraordinary' European security deal after Putin envoy meeting

President Donald Trump promised a "big and extraordinary" European security deal after meeting with Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev, leaving European allies puzzled over the vague proposal. Trump said the agreement would involve more than Ukraine and potentially all of Europe, but provided no details. The meeting followed his repeated pledges to end the war in Ukraine, with European officials telling CNN they were unaware of the specifics. Jared Kushner advocated for a broader European security architecture, while NATO confirmed talks in Brussels ahead of trilateral US-Ukraine-Russia negotiations in Abu Dhabi. Russia continues deadly attacks, with Putin maintaining maximalist demands.
