Ukrainian drones strike Saratov oil refinery in Russia

ua.korrespondent.net (Ukrainian) —

Ukrainian drones attacked the Saratov oil refinery in Russia overnight, with explosions reported in several regions. The refinery has an annual capacity of about 7 million tons of oil. Monitoring channel Exilenova+ reported that strike drones were approaching the Saratov refinery around 3 a.m. local time. Russians may be releasing pressure at the facility, with a flare visible from various parts of the city, though direct hits are not excluded. The Saratov refinery accounts for approximately 2-3% of Russia's total refining capacity. Separately, an enterprise important to Russia's military-industrial complex, likely the Proton plant, was also attacked in Oryol the same night.
