Kyiv's Northern Bridge reopens after missile damage; use Metro, Paton, or Darnytskyi bridges as alternatives
The Pivnichnyi (Northern) Bridge in Kyiv is closed in both directions after a Russian ballistic attack on the night of November 7 caused damage, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. Experts are assessing the damage, and road workers are on site. The attack damaged the road surface, trolleybus lines, and power lines, and five trucks were hit by the blast wave. Drivers can use the Metro, Paton, or Darnytskyi bridges, which remain open during air alerts, as alternatives. The Podilskyi Bridge halts traffic for 15 minutes during alerts, while the Pivdennyi (Southern) Bridge restricts only right-bank to left-bank traffic. The bridge is vital for connecting Troieshchyna and other districts, carrying hundreds of thousands daily.
