Kyrylo Budanov to lead Ukraine at US-Russia talks in Abu Dhabi

Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's presidential office, will lead the Ukrainian delegation at trilateral talks with US and Russian representatives scheduled for next week in Abu Dhabi. Budanov told CBS News on November 6 he does not expect a major breakthrough, but considers the agreement to meet in person a sign of progress. The talks will address readiness to end the war, with military experience among participants potentially useful for technical ceasefire discussions. The meeting, confirmed by US envoy Jared Kushner, will be the first trilateral Ukraine-Russia-US talks since February. Russian delegation will be led by Vladimir Medinsky. Ukraine's foreign ministry views the round as possible preparation for a leaders-level meeting.
